About the Founder

Hi friends! My name is Carolina Schmid, the heart behind Bali Goods.

I have romanticized Bali since I can remember. I always dreamed of visiting because Bali also happens to have the best waves in the world and I started surfing when I was 13 years old. My love for the ocean and nature runs deep and has always been a fundamental part of my life. Bali Goods holds a special place in my heart because after years of dreaming to go there, I actually got to marry my best friend there too- I knew I would love it but my love got deeper the moment I arrived.

The culture, the people, the jungles, the architecture, the beaches but most of all; the craftsmanship.Driving around the streets of Ubud I saw a lot of heart and hard working families but I also saw a lot of poverty with businesses full of supplies and not enough demand. The items being sold were all so beautiful and I wanted to buy them all for my own home in West Palm Beach, FL, then I decided I wanted to share it with the world.

The Balinese people are so talented, but unfortunately they do not get enough exposure. BaliGoods was born out of a desire to share the beauty of these crafts with the world and support the artisans who create them.

From intricately woven textiles, rattan, natural woods to unique home decor; our collection reflects the colorful traditions and artistic heritage of Bali. I invite you to explore our offerings and bring a piece of this enchanting island into your home.
